Vital Signs

patientNOW allows you to follow Vital Signs over time. In addition, the values in the Vital Signs records are available to drop into documents in Document Creation.

Add Vital Signs

Select Patient

Navigate to Patients | Clinical Info, Current Medical tab and select under the Vital Signs title. Enter the following on the Add Vital Signs dialog.

Date and Time. The date and time vitals were taken; entered automatically from the computer clock.

Age. Calculated automatically from Date of Birth.

Skin Type. Uses the Fitzpatrick Scale.

Height

Weight

Blood Pressure

Hemoglobin

Pulse

Respiratory Rate

Oxygen Saturation %

Temperature

Temp Method. Options include Oral, Rectal, Temporal, or Tympanic Membrane.

BMI. Calculated Automatically. To change, select the gold key to manually enter a number.

BSA. Calculated Automatically. To change, select the gold key to manually enter a number.
